CEOs survey - 2011
We carried out research recently with 14 CEOs of FTSE 100 companies. Biggest common challenges?
- No clearly articulated strategy
- Core talent overworked and feeling nothing is ever enough
- Senior leadership team not performing as a team
- Surprising denial of the extent of the economic crisis in hope it will go away
- Inability to offer clients anything significantly different from the competition. Feeling 'clients see us as just another seller'
There were other issues such as some senior executives under-performing, lack of alignment across divisions and functions and confusion about the pros and cons of outsourcing.
Paradoxically, we found this list very reassuring. That's because these are the issues we deal with very well by applying our proprietary GET methodology.
See what senior business leaders consider their biggest challenges.
